Advantages:

  •  Higher temperature of exploitation - till 1400°C, against 1200°C for Cr20Ni80;
  •  Higher fusion temperature - 1500°C, against 1400°C for Cr20Ni80;
  •  Higher (1.5- 2 times) term of employment at equal temperatures in comparison with nichrome;
  •  Less density - 7.21 g/cm3 against 8.4 g/cm3 for Cr20Ni80, that let economize about 16% on the weight;
  •  The best corrosion resistance in the air, vacuum, argon, sulfur content and carbon medium, water steam.
  •  Higher electrical resistivity -1.39 Om.mm2/m against 1.12 for Cr20Ni80. Disadvantages:
  •  For the avoidance of micro cracks at the winding of the heaters technical process must be taken at temperature for the wire up to 3.0mm - 300°C, for the wire 3.0-10.0 mm - 400°C by diameter.
  •  In the presence of vibration can be destroyed.
